CNC Machinist/Programmer

Pleasant Manufacturing is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter to take a lead role in our shop, overseeing the production of custom-machined parts to precise drawing specifications.

The ideal candidate will have extensive CNC lathe programming and setup experience, strong technical skills, and the confidence to lead shop-floor operations while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency. Experience with Miyano CNC lathes is considered a strong asset.

Core Competencies

· Ability to determine proper tool selection and order of operations

· Proficiency with direct G-Code programming on Fanuc controls, including determining optimal speeds and feeds

· Knowledge of tool wear and failure conditions

· Experience working with a variety of materials including brass, aluminum, steel, stainless steels, nickel alloys, plastics, etc.

· General machining skills that can be used to customize tools, holders, fixtures, regrind drills, etc.

· Ability to read and accurately interpret technical drawings including GD&T

· Ability to use all types of standard inspection tools

· Attention to detail and quality requirements

Job Duties

· Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes with live tooling, dual turrets and twin spindles

· Create, document and back-up all programs and set-up sheets as required

· Preform quality checks to ensure parts meet customer specifications

· Troubleshoot machine and part quality issues and implement corrective actions

Requirements

· Minimum 10 years of on the job experience with manual programming and setting experience

· Strong English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehend)

· Advanced shop math skills

· Able to work in a demanding fast paced environment

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
