Cnc Maintenance Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of production machines and utility equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical faults and carry out repairs.
• Maintain CNC/VMC machines, laser cutting machines, press brakes, compressors, DG sets, pumps, and other plant equipment as applicable.
• Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring of machines.
• Assist in machine installation, commissioning, and relocation activities.
• Replace defective machine parts, bearings, belts, motors, sensors, valves, and other components.
• Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and equipment history cards.
• Ensure availability of critical spare parts and communicate stock requirements.
• Support TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with production teams to minimize machine downtime.
• Follow safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and 5S practices.
• Attend emergency breakdowns and restore equipment within targeted timelines.
• Report recurring issues and recommend corrective actions.
