CNC Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive CNC Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Your expertise in industrial electrical systems, mechanical components, and automation will be essential in supporting our production processes. Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on CNC machines and associated equipment to ensure continuous operation.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, ohmmeters, and calibration instruments.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), technical drawings, and control system blueprints to accurately diagnose problems.
• Maintain and calibrate industrial controls, sensors, vision inspection systems, and other automation components to meet quality standards.
• Utilize programming skills in engineering environments to modify or update CNC machine software and control parameters as needed.
• Follow electrical safety procedures during maintenance activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections thoroughly in maintenance logs for future reference and compliance audits.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems used in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with industrial electrician tasks including electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, reading schematics, and working with low voltage/high voltage systems.
• Proficiency in programming industrial controls such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and automation software like Calypso or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with calibration techniques for precision measuring instruments and sensors critical to CNC operations.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and electrical instrumentation diagrams accurately.
• Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting across manufacturing settings involving complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures related to high voltage systems and industrial automation environments.
• Experience working with vision inspection systems, sensors, field service operations, and industrial automation controls.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on engineering troubleshooting techniques in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Prior experience in industrial maintenance roles within manufacturing or military environments is highly desirable.
