CNC Metal Brake Technician

About the Role

As a Metal Fabrication Technician, you will play a vital role in our production team by managing CNC press brake operations to deliver high-quality sheet metal components. You will leverage your technical expertise in machine setup and blueprint interpretation to optimize fabrication workflows and ensure consistent output that meets rigorous quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Configure and calibrate CNC press brake machinery to meet precise project specifications and work orders.
• Execute complex bending and forming operations to achieve high-volume production targets while maintaining strict quality control.
• Analyze fabrication processes to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and improved material utilization.
• Perform routine equipment inspections to proactively identify maintenance needs and ensure operational uptime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline project handoffs and provide technical insights for ongoing production improvements.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant workspace in alignment with ISO 9001 standards and OSHA safety protocols.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Proven experience in CNC press brake setup and operation.
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints, including tolerances and material specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring tools such as digital calipers and protractors.
• Solid understanding of sheet metal properties, gauges, and finishing techniques.
• Effective problem-solving skills with a focus on mechanical troubleshooting.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience working within an ISO 9001 certified manufacturing environment.
• Experience utilizing production software for record-keeping and inventory tracking.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate team collaboration.
