What they need
Ferris wheels, roller coasters, wind turbines, submarines, spacecraft, naval vessels, cranes and medical equipment. At Breman Machinery, every day we work with extreme precision on challenging products of enormous size and weight. We do this either as the contractor responsible for the complete product or as a supplier of critical steel components.
We like to think big, and the same goes for your career as a CNC Miller. How do we do it? Come and discover the secret behind our craftsmanship.
What will you be doing?
As a CNC Miller at Breman Machinery, you will work with modern 3-, 4- and 5-axis milling machines. Our machines are equipped with Siemens or Heidenhain controls. You are able to work independently, but you also enjoy working as part of a team. You determine, either independently or together with the foreman, how machining operations should be carried out and which setup and clamping methods are required.
When machining more complex workpieces or small production runs, you will work closely with a CAD/CAM Programmer to prepare and carry out the machining process. For the tools you need, you can make use of our extensive and professionally managed tool inventory. Tools are assembled and set up either by you or by our Tool Manager.
During machining, you perform intermediate dimensional checks. Once machining is complete, you measure and report all specified dimensions and tolerances.
You will work on a wide variety of components, ranging from relatively small to extremely large. Your work can vary from straightforward operations such as facing and drilling to simultaneous 5-axis milling, machining components to an accuracy of hundredths of a millimetre.
Experience in machining is an absolute requirement for this position.
Your profile
We expect drive and commitment from you, but of course you can expect something in return. That includes a competitive salary and attractive employment conditions, such as workwear, annual leave and flexible working hours.
You will also become part of a close-knit and motivated team where we make the most of each other's skills and expertise. We will be happy to tell you more during an introductory meeting.
What we offer
- A salary that reflects the position and your work experience
- A good pension scheme through PMT
- Travel allowance of €0.19 per kilometre, increasing to €0.21 per kilometre for commutes of 30 kilometres or more each way
- 25 days of annual leave, plus the option to purchase an additional 64 hours of leave each year
- Overtime paid out or compensated with time off – the choice is yours
You will join an organisation with short lines of communication where we believe in being straightforward and saying things as they are. Our working hours are Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Fridays we finish at 2:30 p.m. That means an early start to your weekend.
Want to develop yourself further? You will have plenty of opportunities to do so. Think of education, training and courses that match your field of expertise and ambitions.
And if you enjoy social activities, we have an active staff association that regularly organises events. Joining is entirely up to you.
Working on true craftsmanship
At Breman Machinery, you won't be working on standard products or mass production. You will work on technical projects that demand craftsmanship, precision and quality. It is exactly this variety that makes the work challenging. Every project is different and requires something new from your knowledge and experience.
You are trusted to carry out your work independently and given the freedom to contribute ideas about the best possible solution. Not because you have to, but because we believe skilled professionals make the difference. To us, quality is not just a final inspection, it is part of the entire process.
And perhaps most importantly, you will work alongside colleagues who take just as much pride in their craft as you do. We believe in short lines of communication, helping each other move forward and being straightforward with one another. No unnecessary hassle, just working together to create something you can genuinely be proud to put your name to.
