We are working with an established precision engineering business specialising in subcontract machining and the manufacture of high-quality components.

They are looking for an experienced CNC Miller / Programmer / Setter who can independently program, set and operate 3 and 4-axis CNC milling machines.

The Role

• Fully program CNC milling jobs using Fusion 360
• Set and operate 3 and 4-axis CNC milling machines
• Work with Haas and/or Fanuc-controlled machinery
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models
• Select tooling, workholding, speeds and feeds
• Prove out and optimise CNC programmes
• Manufacture one-off and small-batch precision components
• Carry out first-off and in-process inspection
• Work to tight tolerances and maintain high-quality standards
• Troubleshoot programming, setting and machining issues

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller / Programmer / Setter
• Strong 3-axis and 4-axis milling experience
• Fully confident programming using Fusion 360
• Previous experience with Haas and/or Fanuc controls
• Able to independently set and operate CNC milling machines
• Strong understanding of tooling, workholding, speeds and feeds
• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Background in precision or subcontract engineering

This is a hands-on programming, setting and machining position for someone who can take a component from drawing through to a finished, inspected part.

Salary: £19.00 - £22.00 per hour depending on experience, plus a 30% shift allowance.

Pay: £19.00-£22.00 per hour
