CNC Milling / Lathe Operator & Programmer

We are looking for an experienced CNC Milling and Lathe Operator/Programmer to set up, operate, and program CNC machines. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently from engineering drawings and produce precision parts within required tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes.
• Create, edit, and modify CNC programs as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds.
• Perform machine setups, tool changes, and offsets.
• Machine parts according to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect finished components using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues.
• Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections.
• Monitor machines during production and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain machines and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures.

Requirements

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with CNC milling and CNC lathe machines.
• CNC programming, setup, and operating experience required.
• Strong blueprint-reading and precision measurement skills.
• Knowledge of G-code and M-code.
• Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or similar controls is an asset.
• Ability to work with tight tolerances.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• CSA-approved safety boots required.
