CNC Mill Operator Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Mill Operator with 3+ years’ experience in precision manufacturing. Skills in doing basic set-ups, operating and maintaining vertical and horizontal milling centers are required. A proven ability to read blueprints, use precision measuring tools and maintain tight tolerances (+/- .0005) are preferred. Be eager to bring strong work habits, safety and technical skills to a growing production team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program and operate CNC milling machines according to specifications and production requirements.
• Assemble tooling and fixtures necessary for machining operations.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and quality output.
• Perform routine maintenance on milling machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers to verify dimensions of machined parts.
• Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process to maintain high standards.
• Safely operate forklifts for material handling as needed within the factory environment.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve machining processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Skills

• Machine Operation-CNC Horizontal/Vertical mills, 3-Axis and 4-Axis machines.
• Preferred experience on Makino, A51NX.
• Programming and control-Fanuc and Haas basic G-code.
• Quality Control-Calipers, Micrometers, depth gauges.
• Technical Reading-Engineering blueprints
• Shop Safety- PPE Compliance, Preventative Maintenance.
