CNC Operator & Setter

Experience and Education Qualification

• Education: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, or a related technical field.
• Experience: Typically ranges from 2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in CNC turning or VMC setting and operation (freshers are sometimes hired with relevant ITI/Diploma training).
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with controller interfaces (such as FANUC), measuring tools, and basic troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

· Machine Setup & Tooling: Select and install cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and raw materials into CNC or VMC (Vertical Machining Center) machines.

Offsets & Calibration: Set workpiece zero points, coordinate systems, and tool offsets, and make adjustments for tool wear.

· Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret technical engineering drawings, process sheets, and G-codes.

· First-Piece Inspection: Run trial pieces and measure dimensions using precision instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to confirm accuracy.

· Operation & Monitoring: Load and unload components, monitor active machining cycles, and handle minor program or parameter tweaks.

· Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine machine cleaning, basic maintenance, and follow shop-floor safety and 5S protocols.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
