About the Role

Hymec Aerospace is looking for a reliable and motivated CNC Machine Operator to join our precision engineering team.

We manufacture high-end, precision components for the aerospace and automotive industries, working to tight tolerances where quality, accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

This position would suit someone with CNC machining experience who is looking for a stable role with the opportunity to develop their skills and potentially progress into CNC setting.

For the right candidate, CNC setting training and development may be provided following successful completion of the 6-month probationary period.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating 3-axis CNC machines
• Loading and unloading components safely and efficiently
• Following established machining processes and job instructions
• Checking components throughout the manufacturing process
• Using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometres and gauges
• Reading and understanding engineering drawings
• Monitoring tool condition and reporting issues when required
• Identifying potential quality or machining problems
• Maintaining accurate production and quality records
• Working efficiently to achieve production targets
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Following Hymec Aerospace's quality procedures at all times

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous CNC machine operating or relevant manufacturing experience
• Have a basic understanding of engineering drawings
• Be comfortable using measuring and inspection equipment
• Have a strong eye for detail and quality
• Be reliable, punctual and willing to learn
• Be able to work effectively in a busy and pressurised manufacturing environment
• Take pride in producing high-quality work
• Be willing to develop their machining knowledge and skills

Previous experience within aerospace, automotive or precision engineering would be beneficial but is not essential for the right candidate.

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
