Job Title: CNC Router Operator / Grinding Department Operator

Location: Newark, DE

Compensation: $25.00 + Per Hour BOE

Employment Type: Full Time, Temp to Hire

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Job Summary

Our Client in Newark, DE is seeking an experience CNC Operator/Programmer to operate various equipment and perform duties related to the goals of the Grinding Department.

This Operator will operate and program the CNC Router at a high level of quality and assist with other grinding and cutting operations as needed. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated working knowledge of hand and power tools and measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and clean CNC router and other equipment.
• Program G-code and/or conversational language for Haas CNC Router.
• Operate the associated vacuum table with the router.
• Monitor process conditions of equipment.
• Operate other cutting equipment, including miter saws and centerless grinders, to cut stock shapes to final size.
• Use scales, micrometers, and calipers to measure finished products.
• Record finished product information into QPS (ERP System).
• Perform in-process inventory and material handling duties.
• Install tooling for cutting equipment as needed.
• Record all required information on forms and files.
• Package and label parts as required.
• Transport work-in-process product within departments and to warehouse locations as necessary.
• Perform miscellaneous warehouse duties as assigned.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work areas.
• Perform TPM activities including monitoring and adding oil and grease as necessary to maintain appropriate levels.
• Clean and replace designated process filters as required after completing required training.

Requirements

• Experience operating and programming CNC equipment required .
• Ability to perform duties that require pushing, pulling, twisting, grasping, climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, and working at heights.
• Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and safety glasses.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and related devices.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 55 pounds without mechanical assistance.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions in all operations.
• Demonstrated experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and contribute to company and department goals.
• Ability to participate in departmental teams and communication meetings.
• Ability to work safely while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
