About Your Role at SABIN:

Your role is programming, running and maintaining our CNC machines, mostly our Zund cutting machines This requires loading material, unloading finished parts, and while cutting operations are in progress, de-webbing and preparing cut parts for downstream. You will also program and operate a CNC sewing machine.

Secondarily, as production demands dictate you will do other light fabrication such as saw operation, or assembly.

What You’ll Do:

Your primary responsibility. Operate and maintain Zund cutting machines. Your responsible for the efficient usage and uptime of these machines, ensuring they are running product as smoothly as possible.

CNC Sewing Operation. Program, operate and maintain a large format CNC sewing machine, change out material.

Light fabrication, cutting wire/extrusions, factory labor and organization/clean-up.

Mentor, teach and/or train less experienced team members in CNC operation.

Alert Production Coordinator and Manufacturing Engineer to any bottlenecks in the operation and contribute ideas to most efficient production.

You may be asked to inspect parts with precision & test complete fixtures

Fix issues that might occur during the shift

Use ERP system in production process management and tracking

Requirements:

4+ years in manufacturing production, with at least 2 years of CNC operation.

Open-minded and flexible, with positive energy and a can-do attitude

Measure twice, cut once mentality.

Bilingual Spanish-English is a plus

Live within a short commute to our factory, less than 11 miles from 4447 W Cortland St, Chicago, IL 60639

The ability to lift 50 pounds, and a commitment to safe and ergonomic practices for the same. This role requires frequent loading of materials onto the CNC cutting bed.

CAD experience a strong plus.

We are a small team and we wear many hats, we all pitch-in on a wide range of tasks and are looking for similarly adaptable teammates.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.50 - $28.50 per hour
