CNC Operator

Job Overview

As a CNC Operator, you’ll set up and operate computer numerical control (CNC) equipment to produce accurate parts for manufacturing and fabrication. You’ll read technical drawings, select tooling, check dimensions, and keep machines running safely and efficiently. Your impact: Careful machining and quality checks help production teams deliver parts that fit assembly requirements and meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and stamping presses as assigned; use Fanuc controls where applicable.
• Interpret blueprints, production documents, and computer-aided design (CAD) files; apply shop math and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional measurements and maintain quality control.
• Monitor tooling and machine performance, troubleshoot industrial equipment issues, and follow production safety standards.
• Support fabrication, assembly, packaging, and materials handling; use hand tools and forklifts when authorized.

Experience

• Experience in CNC machining, machine operation, machining, or a manufacturing facility is preferred; factory, assembly line, or packaging experience is also useful.
• Mechanical knowledge, blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and production document interpretation are important.
• Familiarity with CNC programming and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) programming is preferred. Exposure to programmable logic controllers, SolidWorks, flexo presses, or assembly is a plus.
• Basic math skills and the ability to follow safety procedures are required.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
