CNC Operator - Joinery

Golden Link is looking for a skilled CNC Operator to join our joinery factory team. The successful candidate will operate CNC machinery to cut, drill, groove, and shape joinery components accurately for production of custom furniture and fit-out items.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC routers and CNC machining equipment for joinery and furniture production.
• Read and understand shop drawings, cutting lists, CNC programs, and production work orders.
• Load, set up, and run MDF, plywood, laminate boards, solid wood, and other approved materials.
• Produce components accurately for wardrobes, kitchens, cabinets, doors, furniture, wall cladding, reception counters, and custom joinery items.
• Check dimensions, drilling positions, grooves, edge details, and finished components against approved drawings.
• Make basic machine setting adjustments and report programming, tooling, or machine issues to the supervisor.
• Select and change cutting tools, drill bits, and router bits as required.
• Ensure materials are handled carefully to minimize damage, wastage, and rework.
• Coordinate with the cutting, assembly, QA/QC, and production teams to meet daily production targets.
• Carry out basic machine cleaning and routine maintenance in line with factory procedures.
• Follow all health, safety, housekeeping, and quality-control requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating CNC machines in a joinery, furniture, woodworking, or fit-out factory.
• Strong knowledge of board materials, including MDF, plywood, veneer, laminate, solid wood, and acrylic.
• Ability to read joinery shop drawings, cutting lists, and dimensions accurately.
• Experience with CNC routers and nesting machines; experience with Homag, Biesse, SCM, Weeke, or similar machines is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of CNC software and machine programming; knowledge of Cabinet Vision, AlphaCAM, WoodWOP, Maestro, or similar software is preferred.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
• Physically fit for factory work and able to follow safe lifting and machinery procedures.
• GCC joinery or fit-out experience is preferred.
