Trimen Industrial is a precision CNC machine shop in Belgium, Wisconsin, serving the aerospace, defense, medical, and marine industries since 1993. We run nearly 30 CNC machines — including Haas lathes and DMG Mori horizontal machining centers — producing tight-tolerance aluminum and steel components, with in-house tolerances down to ±0.003". We're actively pursuing AS9100 certification and expanding into defense work, which means growing opportunity for the people on our floor.

The Role

As a CNC Operator, you'll run proven production jobs on our CNC lathes and machining centers — loading parts, monitoring cuts, performing in-process inspections, and keeping quality parts moving out the door. You'll work alongside our setup technicians and QC team, with a clear path to grow into setup and programming as your skills develop.

What You'll Do

• Operate CNC lathes and mills (Haas and Fanuc-based controls) running established programs
• Load and unload parts, verify workholding, and monitor machining cycles across multiple machines
• Perform in-process inspection using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and comparators against blueprint specs
• Make basic tool wear offsets to hold tolerances as tight as ±0.003"
• Deburr, clean, and prep finished parts for QC and shipment
• Complete production paperwork and log job data in our shop-floor system (iPad-based — no paper chasing)
• Flag tooling, quality, or machine issues early and communicate with setup techs and QC
• Perform first-piece checks and submit parts to QC for buy-off before running production
• Change inserts and replace worn tooling per setup sheets and tool lists
• Monitor coolant levels, chip removal, and basic machine upkeep (daily/weekly maintenance checks)
• Assist with material handling — staging raw stock, moving parts between operations, and packaging finished goods
• Track cycle times and report production counts against job routings
• Support lights-out and unattended machining runs by prepping material and verifying program stability
• Cross-train across lathes, mills, and horizontal machining centers as you develop
• Participate in continuous improvement — suggest fixturing, workflow, or process tweaks that save time
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe

Required:

• 1+ years of CNC operating experience in a production machining environment (or completion of a machining/machine tool program)
• Ability to read blueprints and understand basic GD&T callouts
• Confident use of micrometers, calipers, and standard gauges
• Reliable attendance and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Attention to detail — our customers fly, float, and depend on what we make

Nice to Have:

• Experience on Haas or Fanuc controls
• Multi-machine tending experience
• Experience with tight-tolerance aluminum and steel work
• Interest in growing into setup, programming, or quality

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
