CNC Plasma Lead Operator

Tecside are looking for a detail-oriented and safety conscious Lead Operator to join our production team operating a Kinetic K2500 plasma cutting machine. Proven experience operating this type of machine or equivalent including Nesting and Programming essential. Previous Supervision or Lead experience would be an advantage however we are willing to develop and train the right candidate.
 
You will report to our Production Supervisor and become part of our Production Leadership team.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Setting up and operating a Kinetic K2500 machine - plasma cutting, milling & drilling steel and wear plate parts for fabrication ensuring smooth, efficient and high-quality production
Monitoring machine performance and troubleshoot issues
Perform routine maintenance to keep operations running at peak efficiency
Loading raw materials/steel sheet
Unloading cut components and remnants
Accurate and legible labelling of cut components
Interpretation of component drawings as part of the checking process
Reporting weekly to the Workshop Manager mass / kg per week output
Report and document any non-conformance issues and sign off task / work orders
 
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience in machine processing/plasma cutting
Experience in a metal fabrication workshop
Ability to interpret component drawings
Ability to operate overhead lifting equipment
Forklift licence
Problem-solving ability
Organisational ability
Ability to work unsupervised
Comply with safe working practices and procedures
