CNC Press Brake Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and conventional press brake machines safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and bending specifications.
• Set up machines, including selecting and installing the correct punches, dies, and tooling.
• Adjust machine settings such as bend angle, back gauge, tonnage, and bend sequence.
• Measure finished components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and angle gauges.
• Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections.
• Identify and correct dimensional or bending defects.
• Handle sheet metal and components safely to prevent damage and injury.
• Maintain proper production records and follow work schedules.
• Carry out routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance.
• Follow company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of press brake machine operation and sheet-metal bending.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances.
• Knowledge of CNC controls and basic machine setup.
• Good measurement and inspection skills.
• Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

Qualifications & Experience

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Fabrication, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Press Brake Operator or Sheet Metal Fabricator is advantageous.
• Experience with CNC press brake machines is preferred.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
