CNC Programmer & Operator

Location: Hinckley
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 6:45am–5:00pm
Pay: £17.50 per hour – negotiable depending on experience
4-Day Working Week

We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer & Operator to join our team in Hinckley.

The successful candidate will have strong CNC turning experience and be confident programming, setting and operating CNC lathes. Experience with Haas machines is particularly desirable.

Experience with CNC milling, especially Mazak machines, would be a bonus but is not essential.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes
• Producing components accurately from engineering drawings
• Selecting and setting appropriate tooling
• Making machine and programme adjustments where required
• Checking finished components against drawings, specifications and tolerances
• Maintaining consistently high standards of quality and workmanship
• Carrying out routine machine checks and basic maintenance
• Keeping machines and the working area clean, organised and safe
• Working independently and as part of the wider team

Essential Experience

• Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Good knowledge of tooling, machining processes and tolerances
• Ability to inspect your own work and produce components accurately
• Good attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship

Desirable Experience

• Experience with Haas CNC lathes
• CNC milling experience
• Experience operating or programming Mazak milling machines

Hours & Pay

Monday to Thursday, 6:45am–5:00pm

£17.50 per hour, negotiable depending on experience.
