CNC Programmer & Setup Machinist — VMC Operations

Core duties

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision components.
• Read/interpret drawings and blueprints to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Control feeds, speeds, and toolpaths to maintain spec and surface finish.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Verify parts against requirements using advanced inspection methods.
• Partner with teammates to reduce cycle time and improve processes.
• Uphold housekeeping and safety standards on the shop floor.

Must-haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical machining education/certification preferred).
• Demonstrated experience as a CNC Machinist or in a comparable position.
• Ability to read/interpret technical prints and apply GD&T.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machinery, tooling, and workholding strategies.
• Independent, reliable, and collaborative work style.
• Detail-oriented with proven troubleshooting ability.
• Commitment to safe work practices in a manufacturing environment.
