What they need
- Create, set up, and optimize CNC programs (3-axis, 4-axis & 5-axis Milling / Lathe) using Mastercam and SolidWorks.
- Interpret engineering drawings and customer technical specifications to develop efficient machining strategies.
- Simulate and optimize tool paths to meet cycle time, quality, and safety requirements.
- Design jigs/fixtures and document machine setup processes.
- Support First Article (FA) and Initial Article (IA) processes and troubleshoot issues.
- Provide technical input for RFQs: estimate cycle time, setup time, tooling cost, and raw material specs.
- Ensure programming meets >85% yield on first run.
- Liaise with planning to ensure timely delivery of programs.
- Follow the 5 key criteria: Safety, Quality, Stability, Simplicity, Cost-efficiency.
