CNC Programmer – Milling

Location: Southwick, MA
Pay: $90,000–$120,000/year
Schedule: 1st Shift | Full-Time | Direct Hire

We’re looking for an experienced CNC milling programmer to join an aerospace manufacturing team in Southwick, MA. This is a hands-on programming role working with multi-axis CNC milling and supporting machinists on the shop floor.

What You’ll Do

• Create CNC programs for multi-axis milling operations.
• Select tooling and develop tool paths using CAD/CAM software.
• Review and modify existing CNC programs and processes.
• Verify completed programs using Vericut.
• Create tooling and setup sheets.
• Troubleshoot tooling and programming issues on the shop floor.
• Adjust speeds, feeds, tooling, and processes based on material and machining requirements.
• Help improve setup times, processes, and overall machining efficiency.
• Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to solve production issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or higher in a related field preferred.
• Experience programming multi-axis CNC mills.
• CAD/CAM experience; NX preferred.
• Manufacturing or Process Engineering experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining techniques and materials.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Experience selecting/designing tooling and applying proper speeds and feeds.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience and knowledge of aerospace standards.
• Knowledge of outside processes such as plating, surface treatments, and heat treating.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working independently while also communicating with production and engineering teams.
