CNC PROGRAMMER

About the role

Tech-Team Precision Toolings Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Programmer to join our team in the East Region. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations, translating design specifications into precise machine instructions that drive our precision tooling production. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimising CNC programmes that ensure our components are manufactured to the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for quality and precision in the trades and services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, code and optimise CNC programmes using CAM software, Hypemill and G-code to produce precision tooling components
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints and design specifications to create accurate machine instructions
• Test and verify CNC programmes on machine tools, identifying and rectifying any errors or inefficiencies
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers and production teams to ensure programmes meet design tolerances and production schedules
• Monitor machine performance during production runs and adjust programmes as necessary to maintain quality standards
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all programmes developed, including revisions and modifications
• Troubleshoot programming issues and provide technical support to production staff
• Stay current with advances in CNC technology, CAM software and manufacturing techniques
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce material waste

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of proven experience in CNC programming for precision machining or tooling manufacture
• Strong proficiency in CAM software packages such as Mastercam, Acam, Hypermill or equivalent
• In-depth knowledge of G-code and M-code programming for CNC machines (mills, lathes, multi-axis machines)
• Solid understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, speeds, feeds and material properties
• Experience with precision measurement and quality control standards, including tolerance interpretation
• Competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD models
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and precision
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Technical certification or qualification in CNC programming, toolmaking or mechanical engineering (desirable)
• Familiarity with industry-standard safety practices and procedures
