CNC Programmer

Ranger Point Precision is looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience programming CNC Haas mills and Haas Dual Spindle turning Lathes and is comfortable taking a part from print to finished program.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for production machining.

Program and set up CNC mills and other machining equipment.

Use FeatureCAM to create and edit CNC programs.

Develop efficient toolpaths while focusing on cycle time, tool life, and part quality.

Select appropriate cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies.

Troubleshoot programming and machining issues and make necessary adjustments.

Work closely with machinists and production personnel to improve processes.

Assist with developing and maintaining tooling, fixtures, and machining processes.

Verify programs and ensure parts meet required specifications.

Maintain organized CNC programs, setup documentation, and tooling information.

Qualifications

3+ years of CNC programming experience preferred.

Strong experience with FeatureCAM is required.

Experience with Fusion 360 is required.

Strong understanding of CNC milling and machining processes.

Knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, feeds, speeds, and machining techniques.

Experience troubleshooting CNC programs and optimizing existing programs.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with the machining team.

Preferred Experience

Experience with Haas CNC equipment.

Experience working with aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and other common machining materials.

Experience in a high-volume or production manufacturing environment.

CNC setup and machining experience in addition to programming.
