What they need
- Create and modify CNC programs using Mastercam.
- Convert engineering drawings and 3D models into machining programs.
- Select appropriate tooling and machining parameters.
- Simulate and verify toolpaths to prevent collisions.
- Support CNC machinists during setup and production.
- Optimize cycle times and improve machining efficiency.
- Maintain program documentation and revision records.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Mastercam for creating CNC programs.
- Ability to generate 2-axis, 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis toolpaths (depending on this role)
- Strong understanding of CNC milling and turning operations.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds and speeds, work holding, and machining strategies.
- Experience with CNC machine controls such as FANUC, Siemens CNC, or Haas Control.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize CNC programs to improve productivity and quality.
