CNC Programmer

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and modify CNC programs for machining operations based on engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce components according to required dimensions and quality standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, machining parameters, and tool paths to ensure efficient production.
• Perform program simulations, trial runs, and first-piece inspections to verify machining accuracy.
• Troubleshoot CNC programming, machining, and tooling issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Work closely with the Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve machining processes and productivity.
• Optimise CNC programs to reduce cycle time, material waste, and production costs.
• Ensure all machined parts meet specified quality requirements and production schedules.
• Maintain CNC programs, tooling records, and relevant production documentation.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping at the workstation.

Job Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in CNC Machining, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in CNC programming and machining.
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and understanding GD&T is an advantage.
• Familiar with CNC programming using G-code and M-code.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidCAM, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Knowledge of CNC milling, turning, machining processes, cutting tools, and machining parameters.
• Able to troubleshoot machining problems and perform basic machine setup.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work overtime or shifts when required by production needs.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
