Job Description

Aakriti Perspective LLP is hiring a skilled CNC Designer / Programmer for our furniture manufacturing facility in Selaqui, Dehradun.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in AutoCAD and ArtCAM, with the ability to prepare accurate 2D drawings, develop 3D relief designs, and generate CNC-ready files for furniture manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D drawings and CNC cutting files using AutoCAD.
• Create 3D reliefs, decorative patterns, carvings and toolpaths using ArtCAM.
• Convert design drawings and reference images into CNC-compatible files.
• Prepare nesting layouts to optimise material utilisation and minimise wastage.
• Generate CNC toolpaths, including profiling, pocketing, engraving and 3D carving.
• Coordinate with CNC machine operators and production supervisors to ensure accurate execution.
• Verify dimensions, cutting depths, tool selections and machining feasibility.
• Troubleshoot design and programming errors during production.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and ArtCAM is mandatory.
• Practical understanding of CNC woodworking machines and programming.
• Knowledge of DXF files, vector drawings, toolpaths and G-code.
• Understanding of plywood, MDF, HDMR and solid wood machining.
• Ability to interpret furniture drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience in furniture manufacturing, modular furniture or decorative wood carving preferred.
• Strong attention to dimensional accuracy and production detailing.

Preferred Experience

1–3 years in CNC designing/programming, preferably within the furniture or woodworking industry.
