CNC Programmer / CNC Setup Machinist – Direct Hire

Location: Manitowoc, WI

Pay: $26–$35/hour, based on experience

Shift: 2nd Shift – Tuesday through Thursday, 2:45 PM–2:45 AM

Schedule: Work 36 hours, get paid for 40!

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Setup Machinist for a direct-hire opportunity with an established precision machining and manufacturing company in Manitowoc, WI.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on CNC programming, machine setup, and troubleshooting experience. This position requires someone who can work independently, interpret blueprints, make program adjustments, and ensure quality production.

Job Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs.
• Set up and operate CNC machining equipment.
• Perform machine setups, changeovers, and tear downs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Adjust tooling, machine offsets, speeds, and feeds as needed.
• Inspect completed parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Identify and troubleshoot machining or programming issues.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure parts meet specifications.
• Follow established safety procedures and production requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC programming and setup experience required.
• Experience with CNC mills, including vertical and horizontal machining centers, preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining specifications.
• Knowledge of G-code, tooling, machine offsets, and machining processes.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
