Job Title: CNC Programmer (Milling)

Shift Pattern: Day Shift (Flexible start and finish times)

Pay Rate: £18.00 – £20.00 per hour

We are recruiting on behalf of a local precision engineering specialist seeking a confident, hands-on CNC Programmer. This is a permanent, day-shift position within a close-knit machine shop, offering flexible working hours and modern equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Offline programming and proving out programs using Autodesk Fusion across all shop floor machinery.
• Programming 3 & 4-axis milling components and supporting turning requirements on the following setup:
• Hurco VM10i (WinMAX / Ultimax controls)
• Hwacheon Vesta 1000+ (Fanuc control)
• Hwacheon Hi-Tech Turning Center (Fanuc control)
• Interpreting technical drawings and ensuring parts meet tight engineering tolerances.
• Optimizing tooling strategies, speeds, feeds, and cycle times.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Software: Must be fully confident offline programming using Autodesk Fusion.
• Machine Capability: Proven capability to program machines across the shop floor.
• Milling Expertise: Primary focus on 3 & 4-axis CNC milling programming.
• Controls: Familiarity with WinMAX / Ultimax and Fanuc control systems.
• Turning Knowledge: Practical experience or knowledge of programming CNC turning/lathes is desirable.
• Technical Skills: Fully competent in reading complex engineering drawings independently.
