CNC Programmer

**JOB SUMMARY:**The CNC Machine tool programmer provides programs for the CNC Machining Department for Brilex Industries.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Read and interpret blueprints, operating sheets, and sketches.

Create G and M code programs using CAM software, working from customer supplied drawings and models.

Create models, as needed, to provide screen captures of virtual job setups including clamping, setup blocks, setup supports, rotary tables, table extensions, etc., to aid in efficient processing of jobs.

Provide accurate information and clear instructions on setup sheets for machining.

Select appropriate manufacturing methods, tooling, feeds, and speeds when programming.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

3 years’ experience using CAM programming software.

Programming experience in a job shop environment.

Ability to work productively, prioritize action items, and produce results.

Superior written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3 years’ experience using GibbsCAM programming software.

Programming experience in a job shop environment producing machined, medium to heavy welded steel fabrications.

Ability to generate shop travelers to direct the machining activities required.
