CNC Programmer - Manufacturing Industry

POSITION SUMMARY
The CNC Programmer position coordinates the activities of CNC programming providing accurate, efficient, well documented and archived programs for the machine shop.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recommend procedures for cost reduction and continuous improvement
• Highly proficient in Mastercam utilization.
• Ability to generate and edit CNC code thru all shop processes in an accurate and timely fashion
• Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
• Follows procedures for CNC code and file saving
• 2D and solid model programming
• Working knowledge and the ability to run the machines that you are programming.
• Assume additional related responsibilities as assigned
• Be available for overtime during high volume seasons

REQUIREMENTS (Education and Experience)

• Able to read blue prints and interpret all GD& T symbols.
• 3+ years’ experience programming CNC lathes, milling centers, wire EDM, and water jets machines.
• Leadership experience (preferred)
• High school or equivalent diploma
• Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics
• Working knowledge of GD&T
• Working knowledge of SoildWorks a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
