- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Select appropriate tooling and adjust feeds, speeds, and machining parameters.
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.
- Participate throughout the CNC production workflow, from material preparation through final inspection and packaging.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in CNC programming, setup, and machine operation.
- Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling.
- Strong knowledge of G-code and CNC machining principles.
- Experience with Autodesk Fusion CAM preferred; experience with other CAM software will also be considered.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
- Strong knowledge of tooling, workholding, offsets, feeds, and speeds.
- Experience machining aluminum; experience with additional materials is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and with minimal supervision.
