CNC Programmer / Setup Machinist

MK Manufacturing is a small, family-owned plastic machine shop in San Jose seeking a CNC Programmer / Setup Machinist. This is a full-time, on-site position combining programming with hands-on shop work.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs.
• Set up machines, tooling, and fixtures.
• Operate CNC machines and run production parts.
• Read drawings and follow material and tolerance requirements.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
• Help with loading, unloading, deburring, and other production tasks as needed.
• Keep machines and work areas clean and organized.
• Follow safety procedures and communicate with the team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CNC programming and CAD/CAM software.
• Basic understanding of machine setup, tooling, and machining processes.
• Ability to read drawings and use measuring tools.
• Dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable with hands-on shop work.
• Able to work on-site in San Jose.
