CNC Programmer / Setup Machinist

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Setup Machinist to support our machining operations team. This position requires a highly skilled, hands-on professional with strong programming experience. The ideal candidate will have experience programming, setting up and operating CNC lathes with live tooling. Key Responsibilities:

• Program multi-axis/multi-spindle CNC lathes with live tooling
• Develop and optimize CNC programs to improve tool paths, cycle times and machining efficiency
• Select tooling, set offsets and adjust programs for optimal performance
• Set up and operate CNC equipment to produce precision components
• Provie out new jobs to complete first article of inspection (FAI)
• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure part quality through in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary program or tooling adjustments
• Read and interpret blueprints to verify machined parts meet specifications
• Ensure machines are ready for full production
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with CNC lathes using live tooling
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming (G/M code, CAM software such as Mastercam, Esprit, etc.)
• Experience with CNC machine setup
• Strong blueprint reading skills
• Experience using precision measuring instruments
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Mori Seiki experience a plus
