CNC Programmer/Setup Machinist

About the role

Raycon Industries is a precision machining shop in Brea, California, producing complex parts for aerospace and defense customers. We're hiring an experienced programmer to program, set up and prove out parts.

Responsibilities

• Use CAM to program and generate G-Code for 5-axis mills & mill-turn, with a focus on optimizing complex, multi-axis programs
• Design and build workholding and fixtures
• Set up the machine, run first articles and troubleshoot issues independently to minimize downtime
• Improve cycle times, tooling and surface finish
• Document programs and setups so others can run the work
• Work with quality on inspection requirements

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on programming and setup experience
• Experience programming multi-axis lathes and mills, including 4- and 5-axis applications
• Proficiency with a major CAM package
• Strong print reading and GD&T skills, and experience holding tight tolerances
• Aerospace or defense experience is a plus
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
