CNC Set Up Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe/Screw Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathe and/or screw machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, quality control, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. We service many different industries, including our own product line. We work in a high run, efficient manner, dealing with tight tolerances, but also do prototype parts and small runs. We currently operate two shifts, allowing us to accommodate anyone seeking part-time evening work.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe/screw machines according to specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements.
• Perform quality control checks on finished products using precision measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process.
• Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Skills

• Proficient in machining processes, particularly with CNC lathes/Screw machines
• Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in CNC operations.
• Experience using hand tools and measuring instruments for quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
