CNC Set Up Operator

74Weld is looking for an experienced CNC Setup Machinist to join our manufacturing team. We manufacture our own high-performance off-road products as well as precision aerospace and job-shop components.

We're looking for a skilled machinist who can independently set up and run CNC equipment while working closely with our Shop Supervisor and Quality Department to produce accurate, high-quality parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines, including tooling, workholding, and offsets
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools
• Make tooling and offset adjustments to maintain tolerances and part quality
• Troubleshoot setup and machining issues
• Work closely with the Shop Supervisor and Quality Department to address production and quality concerns
• Accurately complete Travelers and setup documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC setup experience
• Ability to independently set up and run CNC jobs
• Strong blueprint-reading and precision measurement skills
• Experience with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls please
• 5-axis experience is a plus
• Aerospace or job-shop machining experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of GD&T
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required; CNC or technical training is a plus

Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
