POSITION: CNC Set-Up Technician

SHIFT:

2nd: 4:30 pm – 3 or 5 am M-F 8 hours on weekends when scheduled.

DETAILS:

• Troubleshoot tooling, process concerns and chronic machine problems
• Edit CNC programs
• Test new products (tooling-carbide inserts and work holding)
• Complete changeovers and repair maintenance activities (grinders/robots/broach/CNC)
• Participate in problem solving
• Housekeeping of tool room area
• Cycle time reductions
• Participate in APQP/PPAP process and implementation of new processes
• Perform production set ups (chucks, collets, tool bars & read blueprints)
• Reteach robots and assist Engineering in Automation of cells.
• Assist with training for operators on machining & PM tasks (also New Hire Training if designated)
• Follow Housekeeping, Safety & Environmental requirements (recycling, labeling, spills and programs)
• Comply with all applicable requirements for the Quality and Environmental Systems
• Continuous improvement ideas in safety, productivity, quality, housekeeping-submit to supervisor or HR Box
• Other duties as defined by your supervisor
