  • Setting tools, work offsets and fixtures correctly and efficiently
  • Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
  • Producing precision aerospace and automotive components to tight tolerances
  • Carrying out in-process inspection
  • Using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges and other inspection equipment
  • Making tool and offset adjustments where required
  • Monitoring machining processes and identifying problems before they affect quality
  • Working efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Maintaining the high levels of quality and traceability expected within precision engineering
  • Keeping machines and working areas clean, organised and safe

  • A strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
  • Experience producing high-precision components
  • Confidence using measuring and inspection equipment
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work effectively in a busy, pressurised manufacturing environment
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

Previous aerospace or high-performance automotive manufacturing experience would be a strong advantage.

CNC programming experience would also be beneficial, although this will depend on the candidate's overall experience.

Why Join Hymec Aerospace?

This is an opportunity to work on high-end aerospace and automotive components where precision and quality genuinely matter.
