CNC Setter

Role & responsibilities

• Set CNC turning machines for different components.
• Perform job setting, tool setting and tool offset adjustments.
• Select appropriate cutting tools and inserts.
• Set work holding fixtures, jaws and components.
• Understand and follow CNC programs.
• Make necessary offset corrections during production.
• Verify first-off components before mass production.
• Read engineering drawings and understand dimensional requirements.
• Support operators during production.
• Monitor tool life and machining conditions.
• Troubleshoot basic machining and setting-related issues.
• Reduce setup and changeover time.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and minimize rejection.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong CNC machine setting knowledge.
• Good knowledge of tooling and cutting parameters.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Basic CNC programming knowledge preferred.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
