CNC setter cum programmer

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC turning/machining centers as per production requirements.
• Prepare, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code/M-code.
• Set machine parameters, work offsets, tool offsets, and cutting conditions.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, holders, and fixtures.
• Perform machine setup and ensure proper tool alignment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and process sheets.
• Conduct first-piece inspection and in-process inspection.
• Use measuring instruments such as Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming-related issues.
• Optimize cycle time, tool life, and machining parameters.
• Ensure components are produced within specified dimensional and quality requirements.
• Maintain production records, tool records, and setup documentation.
• Follow safety procedures and 5S standards.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve issues.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of CNC machine setting and programming.
• Good knowledge of G-code and M-code.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of CNC turning / VMC / HMC machines.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, tooling, and machining parameters.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection methods.
• Basic understanding of GD&T.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
