What they need

Launch Every Job with Confidence

Picture this: a new order hits the floor on 2nd shift. You step up, mount the fixture, confirm the program, set the tooling, and make precise offsets. Your first-article inspection proves the process. Operators take it from there—because you’ve built a stable, accurate setup. If your background includes Tool and Die, your insight into fixturing and tool selection will shine.

Role Highlights

  • Prepare CNC mills and lathes by installing fixtures, loading/verifying programs, and setting tools for production.
  • Maintain accuracy and quality via tool changes, offsets, and process tweaks to hold demanding tolerances.
  • Read and apply blueprints, work instructions, and inspection requirements to every setup.
  • Run and validate first-piece parts; perform in-process checks using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
  • Diagnose and resolve machining, tooling, and setup issues to cut downtime and enhance throughput.
  • Coach operators during runs and provide clear direction.
  • Track tool wear, watch machine responses, and keep processes consistent.
  • Complete accurate setup sheets and production records.
  • Champion safety, quality, and housekeeping.

Required Background

  • Hands-on CNC setup experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to set up CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines.
  • Strong blueprint/engineering drawing interpretation skills.
  • Working knowledge of tight tolerances, tooling selection, offsets, feeds, and speeds.
  • Proficiency with precision metrology tools: calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges.
  • Mechanical aptitude coupled with solid problem-solving.
  • Ability to thrive independently and collaborate within a fast-paced team.
  • Tool and Die experience preferred.

Preferred Plus

  • Tool and Die or tooling-related manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and inspection methodologies.
  • Experience with fixture setup, process optimization, and complex machining troubleshooting.
  • Steadfast focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Work Environment & Growth

Join a precision-focused shop where craftsmanship, reliability, and attention to detail are recognized and rewarded. If you take pride in building robust setups and producing quality parts, this is the place to make an impact.
