CNC Sheet and Plate Laser Setup/Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a CNC Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC plate laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and proficiency with various manufacturing tools and techniques. The Laser Operator will play a critical role in ensuring precision, safety, and efficiency in our production processes.

Duties

• Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines according to blueprints and specifications
• Operate laser equipment safely and efficiently to cut, engrave, or mark materials.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for accurate production
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser machinery to minimize downtime
• Conduct quality inspections using calipers and other hand tools to ensure parts meet specifications
• Adjust machine parameters based on material type and thickness for optimal results
• Support assembly processes by providing precision-cut components
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety standards
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards

Experience

• Past laser experience is advantageous, but in house training will also be available!
• Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines or similar manufacturing equipment
• Knowledge of CNC programming, setup, and troubleshooting techniques
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings accurately
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations in manufacturing contexts
• Experience with hand tools, tape measures, and quality inspection procedures is necessary
• Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance is highly desirable

Pay: $50,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
