Job descripation:

A CNC Sliding Head Machine Operator / Setter / Programmer (often referred to as a Swiss-type lathe machinist) is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating precision CNC sliding head automatic lathes (such as Citizen, Star, Tornos, or Tsugami) to produce high-volume, intricate, and micro-sized components. • Machine Setup & Tooling:
• Install and adjust cutting tools, guide bushes, spindle liners, collets, and bar feed systems.
• Prepare machine ancillaries and pre-production kitting for upcoming runs. [1, 2]
• Programming & Optimization:
• Create, edit, and optimize NC programs (G-code and/or CAM) for multi-axis sliding head machines with live tooling.
• Apply offsets and program adjustments to maintain target dimensions and tight tolerances (often within 0.01mm to 0.02mm). [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
• Quality Control & Inspection:
• Perform "first-off" component inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges.
• Ensure finished parts comply with engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and quality standards. [1, 2, 3, 4]
• Operation & Monitoring:
• Load raw bar stock into bar feeders and monitor ongoing production runs for tool wear, unusual vibrations, or part errors.
• Minimize machine downtime and maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). [1, 2, 3]
• Maintenance & Housekeeping:
• Perform routine machine maintenance, coolant/fluid checks, and post-production tooling inspections for wear or damage.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas adhering to shop-floor safety protocols. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹34,000.00 per month
