CNC Technician (MRF)

Brief Summary:

As a CNC Technician (MRF) you will be responsible for the precision manufacturing of optical components within specifications using MRF and 2D/ 3D metrology instruments.

Job Description:

• Loading, unloading, centering parts on MRF and basic understanding of 2D and 3D measurements

• Operate deterministic uniform removal, figure correction on the polishing machine (e.g. MRF) to improve surface form error / surface quality using 2D (e.g. Talysurf) and 3D measurements (e.g. Luphoscan and ASI)

• Setting up the MRF machine (Spots-Taking)

• Perform housekeeping and basic PM on MRF machines

• Perform surface quality inspection on optical lenses

• Run part, create tools and starting slurry on CCP machines

• Perform centering of parts on machine / stem

• Perform lacquering, cementing, de-cementing and cleaning of optics

• Perform in-process checking on radius, PV, RMS values

• Maintain tooling, metrology equipment, and machinery in optimum condition

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance

• Perform duties within cleanliness standards of workplace (5S)

• Maintain safety guidelines of workplace

• Shift-work and OT may be required

Qualifications Required:

• Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing or other related engineering discipline

• Advanced communication skills in written and oral English

Skills & Abilities Required:

• Familiar with Excel and data collection such as SPC

• Able to work in a manufacturing environment while adhering to safety protocols and proper use of PPE

• Highly self-motivated
