£50,654-£57,319 per annum

THIS IS A PROGRAMMING ROLE – NOT SETTER / OPERATOR ONLY

You must be confident writing new CNC turning programs from scratch at the machine, as well as setting and operating, with minimal supervision.

Experienced CNC Turner/Programmer looking for a permanent four-day working week? Join a well-established precision engineering company where more than 50% of our team have over 10 years' service.

Working our established late shift means Monday to Thursday working, every Friday off, and actual earnings of approximately £50,654-£57,319 per annum including the late-shift premium, depending on experience.

Applicants must already be resident in the UK and have the right to work in the UK. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.

Essential experience

· Proven experience programming, setting and operating 2-axis CNC turning machines.

· Able to write new CNC programs from scratch at the machine, with little or no supervision.

· Strong working knowledge of G-code programming.

· Confident completing the full machine set-up from engineering drawing to finished component, including material, tooling, speeds, feeds and cutting conditions.

· Able to edit and optimise existing programs where required.

· Strong understanding of engineering drawings, geometric tolerances, surface finishes and in-process inspection.

· Experience producing one-off and low-to-medium-volume precision components in a range of hard and soft metals.

· Confident working on parts from approximately Ø25 mm x 100 mm up to Ø300 mm x 3 m. Hoist training is provided.

· Quality-driven, self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Desirable experience

· Fanuc controls and Fanuc Manual Guide i software.

· Permanent, full-time position with an immediate start available.

· Four-day week: Monday-Wednesday 4.30 pm-3.30 am; Thursday 4.30 pm-1.00 am.

· Late-shift premium paid at time plus one third.
