CNC Vertical & Hortizontal Mill Operator

CNC MACHINE OPERATOR
Description:

The Machine Operator sets up, maintains, and operates CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines. In addition, you are responsible for keeping the work area clean and safe, and following all safety protocols. The machine operator tasks will require focus on following production procedures accurately, efficiently and with a commitment to quality. Reports to the Production Manager.

We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator who is reliable with a strong attention to detail. Being a team player is essential since tasks require collaboration with co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines to start a production cycle
• Control and adjust machine settings
• Load raw material or parts to machines
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
• Test operation of machines periodically
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift
• Check output to reduce and prevent mistakes or flaws
• Debur, cut, finish products and materials
• Maintain activity logs, work order records, and other required documentation as required.
• Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
• Handle and transport materials, etc., lift heavy objects
• Operate forklift
• Maybe required to assist other operations such as assembly, etc.
• Other duties as required, within scope of work.

Requirements

• Experienced CNC Horizontal and Vertical milling
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.)
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds etc.)
• Attention to detail
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Familiarity with power tools and other equipment (saws, grinders, etc.)
• Must speak, read and write English.
• US Citizen or valid work authorization
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., use of protective gear)
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
