CNC Wood Machine Operator

Job Summary The CNC Wood Machine Operator is responsible for operating computer-controlled machinery used for cutting, drilling, shaping, and processing wood and other furniture materials. The role ensures accurate production according to technical drawings, measurements, and manufacturing specifications while maintaining product quality and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines used for cutting, drilling, routing, and shaping wood and furniture components.
• Load raw materials and secure workpieces properly before starting machine operations.
• Select and execute approved CNC programs according to production requirements.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, dimensions, and cutting specifications.
• Inspect finished components to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
• Monitor machine performance and report technical issues or production irregularities.
• Replace cutting tools when necessary and perform routine machine cleaning and maintenance.
• Minimize material waste and ensure efficient use of raw materials.
• Follow production schedules and meet daily output targets.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Coordinate with production supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience operating CNC machines, preferably in wood manufacturing or furniture production.
• Basic knowledge of CNC machine operations and wood-cutting processes.
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand measurements.
• Familiarity with machine tools, cutting equipment, and material handling.
• Good attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to identify basic machine faults and report maintenance requirements.
• Commitment to workplace safety and production procedures.
• Technical or vocational training in CNC operation is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC routers and panel-cutting machines in furniture factories.
• Knowledge of MDF, plywood, solid wood, and other furniture materials.
• Basic understanding of CNC programming and machine setup.
• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
