CNC/Machine Operator

Job Title: CNC Operator / Tube Cutting Operator

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

CNC Operator / Tube Cutting Operator Job Description:

• Load parts into CNC machine safely and properly and unload when cycle time is complete.
• Operate and monitor multiple CNC machines and equipment, making necessary adjustments to maintain production and quality.
• Load raw tubing into the tube cutting system and monitor cutting operations.
• Load cut tubing into the feed grinder and monitor grinding operations.
• Check part lengths, diameters, and other required dimensions using appropriate measuring tools.
• Inspect parts against job specifications and identify, separate, and report nonconforming material.
• Monitor equipment and material supply to keep production running efficiently.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, and maintenance as assigned.
• Record production quantities, inspections, and machine activity accurately.
• Handle materials safely and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with other production duties as needed.

Skills/Abilities/Experience Required:

• Basic math skills and ability to work with part dimensions and tolerances.
• Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and job specifications.
• Ability to use or learn calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
• Understanding of CNC processes and machine operation, or willingness to learn.
• Attention to detail, dependable work habits, and ability to recognize and communicate quality issues.
