CNG Fuel Systems Inspector (Field)

Hughes Heavy Equipment has an immediate opening for a CNG Fuell Systems Inspector for the Pacific Northwest region**.** Performing inspections and minor repair to compressed natural gas (CNG) fuels systems installed on customers vehicles including heavy equipment and light, medium and heavy-duty trucks. We are seeking a self-motivated, professional individual who takes pride in what they do and strive to be the best in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, diagnostic checks, and minor repairs on CNG fuel systems installed on customer vehicles (heavy equipment, light/medium/heavy-duty trucks).
• Safely decommission CNG systems in accordance with customer requests and applicable safety standards and procedures.
• Follow all safety protocols and document work per company and regulatory requirements.
• Complete service reports, inspection logs, and repair documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain and reconcile service truck inventory of parts, tools, consumables, and safety supplies as needed.
• Communicate clearly with customers on findings, recommended actions, timelines, and any safety concerns; uphold professional conduct at all times
• Coordinate with client service needs; escalate complex issues; contribute to continuous improvement of service procedures.
• Travel daily to customer locations throughout assigned territories; frequent overnight stays may be required.
• Work primarily at night; maintain flexibility to cover days, nights, weekends, and split shifts based on customer scheduling needs.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
• 2 years hands-on experience with vehicle fuel systems, industrial maintenance, or field service
• Familiar with high-pressure gas systems, fittings, regulators, valves, tanks, and leak detection methods.
• CNG/alternative fuel technician certifications; or relevant OEM training.
• CNG inspector per ISO/IEC 17024 standard is preferred.
• CNG or alternative fuels experience is a plus.
• Technical/vocational training in automotive, diesel, or industrial maintenance preferred.

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
