What they need

OVERVIEW

Co-Operators (Co-Ops) are hourly Scream Team members who are the main support system for Operators. Co-Ops aid the Operators in navigation, customer communication, and item delivery. Where Operators are the “Captain” of the truck, Co-Ops are the “Co-Captain/First Mate.”

TRAITS of a Strong CO-OPERATOR

Embrace Scream Truck's H.A.C.K.:

  • (H)appiness—Deliver it always! Smile and greet customers with eye contact, a kind message, and genuine warmth.
  • (A)wareness—Be attentive to your customers and their families. Offer solutions to ease and personalize their experience. (e.g. note allergies, offer a Pup cup, accommodate for disabilities)
  • (C)leanliness—Keep the trucks looking squeaky clean inside and out! Especially high visibility areas (countertops, prep areas, sinks, Electrofreeze, and windows)
  • (K)indness—Extend patience and genuine empathy with customers and fellow associates. Ensure everyone has a positive experience.

CORE Responsibilities

1. Navigation—Co-Ops assist the Operator in efficiently navigating the truck to each stop including parking assistance in difficult areas.

GOAL - Get Out And Look

One of the top safety precautions! Anytime the truck is backing up (in reverse) or pulling into a tight spot, Co-Op should GOAL. Make sure the truck has enough space to safely navigate without hitting anything!

2. Communication—Co-Ops are the first line of communication between the customer and the truck to relay arrival information or resolve any issues inhibiting delivery.

3. Item Preparation—Co-Ops assist the Operator in preparing menu items. The default Co-Op prep area is the “Nut-Free” side of the truck and Co-Op must take special care to prevent cross contamination. Co-Ops are expected to bring awareness of allergen-free items to customer upon delivery.

4. Delivery—Co-Ops are the first point of contact for delivery to customers (predetermined delivery specifications) to customers’ doors. (In the event of multiple items, Operators should provide delivery assistance)

5. Emergencies/Escalation—Onboard the truck, Co-Ops manage/report any real-time customer-related issues that may impair a positive customer experience to Mission Control for further assistance/direction.

6. Deliver regular feedback to Lead Co-Op:

  • Ideas, suggestions, improvements
  • Questions & concerns
  • Positive Scream Team morale & customer experiences
